Le Mans (also known as Le Mans Electro) is a 21st century evolution of eighties new wave, bodyrock, and disco-industrial. Sparked by early releases by bands such as Mt. Sims, Adult ,and Freezepop, Le Mans released "Coldlife in the Fastlane" in early 2004. Featuring two male vocalists and italo-disco basslines, as well as influences from videogame music, French house, and 80's television, the album gained support within the electroclash community as well as from electronica fans looking for something new.
Le Mans' sophomore release "Disco Related Injury" steers the project full throttle into even more dangerous neonlit territory. Complimented by the introduction of various female vocalists, Jam1sin's words seer through holes charred by sizzling synthlines and lazer blips with a sense of command only hinted at on Coldlife. "Le Mans takes the showy base of electro and begins dragging it face down into reality, reveling in the false perfection...", states reviewer E. O'Neill. Disco Related Injury serves as the perfect compliment to Coldlife in the Fastlane.
